Dreams can be a way of revelation from God to his prophets. The book of Mathew contains four dreams within chapter two. All in relation to the safety of Jesus. This is illustrated in lines 12-23. “rise up take the mother and the child and his mother and flee to Israel ”(2:19-21). One can argue these dreams intended by God is the reason Jesus is still alive. Joseph was instructed to take the child to Egypt initially because Herod seeks to kill him. After Herods death, he was told in a third dream to go to the land of Israel because the ones seeking the Childs death have passed away. Thus, proving the direct impact, dreams had on the fate of Jesus.
